Basquiat – The Orange Crown Manifesto
Art That Knows No Compromise. The project is based on the aesthetic of the artist's "notebook"—we see handwritten notes, cross-outs, and crude sketches of figures that appear to have been plucked straight from the walls of Manhattan. The focal point is the iconic crown, this time in bright orange, applied using a spray-on technique, giving the work a three-dimensional and aggressive feel.

Symbolism of the Crown : The orange "RRAKE" crown is Basquiat's trademark, symbolizing the struggle for recognition and artistic nobility.

Typography and Text : Handwritten inscriptions such as "VENUS MADONNA", "SATURDAY MORNING CARTOON" and "KRAK" lead the viewer into the artist's stream of consciousness.

Contrasting Palette : The deep black background makes the white sketches and neon orange accents of the "BASQUIAT" lettering extremely dynamic.

Graffiti Layering : Painter's tape effects in the corners and paint splatter create the illusion of an authentic street canvas.
